Find What Your Soul Is Seeking Here

Introduction To Ascension 101
“Ascension” is another relatively new spiritual buzzword.
“When are we gonna Ascend already?”
“I think I got Ascension symptoms.”
There are a plethora of “gurus” or teachers who will teach you “how to Ascend.” There is value in studying and taking courses from thought leaders that you feel a resonance with, if that’s where your intuition guides you.
It’s the idea that humanity is undergoing a spontaneous evolutionary event on all levels – physical, mental, emotional, spiritual.
Definitely do the Google searches, read the articles and watch YouTube videos. Use your own discernment to lead you to the ones that resonate. Lots of social media groups as well. Find the ones you vibe with.
The idea of Ascension sounds so very pretty, doesn’t it? The human race evolving. Becoming more – more peaceful, more compassionate, more conscious. A golden paradise of beauty and plenty.
But…I mean, come on.
This area is definitely not for the extreme skeptic. You will not resonate with this material if you’re not already actively seeking your spiritual path.
Because when you take that high-level overview, looking at the sacred texts across multiple historic eras and geographic regions, there’s an awful lot that have bad-times-leads-to-better-times, end-of-days scenarios.
You can do whatever you want with that bit of data.
But, there’s another underlying theme: it’s as much an internal process as it is external. That the individual inner work in many ways drives the outer, external results.
Have you felt different? Have you started to notice things that you normally would have passed over or ignored in the past? Do you feel like something is coming? Something you can’t define, can’t yet grasp, yet you yearn for it?
You’ve seen the way things are going on this planet, right? The psychopaths are running the show. Deep down you feel, you know that something has to change. And you want to be part of it. You want to help.
That, right there, is the key.
You. Want. To Help.
Close your eyes, meditate on that better world you seek. Manifest it, visualize it until you can feel it in your heart and it’s so real you could just about touch it.
Then you open your eyes.
Get confronted with the giant morass that is our current socio-politico-religio-economic system. You can’t help but think, WTF? Where’s my new dimensional reality? I had it just a second ago.
Then, doubt creeps in. You wonder if you can make that change. You wonder if Ascension could possibly be real when it can be so very hard to find encouragement in our current state of affairs.
Here’s the secret. It’s just a small secret, but it can be huge for you. Are you ready?
Yes, it’s real.
“Can’t be that simple!”
I hear you. And it’s not “that simple.” It’s the hardest thing ever, tbh.
It’s within you. You have to be the one to heal on the inside, so the world can heal on the outside.
It doesn’t matter if I tell you it’s real.
Right? I just “told you” but did it really have an effect? Nothing outside of you will be able to convince you of that.
Only you can convince yourself if this Ascension thing is real.
That’s kinda the whole point.
Here’s the trick.
Act like it it is. Act like your actions, no matter how small, have consequences.
This is going to look very different from person to person, and that’s okay.
Again, that’s kinda the point. It’s individual.
You want to know what one of mine was? Almost 10 years ago I gave up Kraft Macaroni and Cheese.
It’s hard to find the words to convey just how much I loved those little elbows and that fluorescent orange cheese-like product. I might not have survived college or my early professional life without it.
As much as I cherished those little blue boxes, I knew it wasn’t really food. More like very tasty cardboard in a pleasing shape and texture. It has no real nutritional value and is loaded with GMO’s (Genetically Modified Organisms).
The mainstream media says GMO’s are perfectly safe, politics says you don’t need to know what’s in food, “trust us.” Everyone else will give you side-eye for questioning the paradigm.
I knew, deep down that this paradigm was wrong. Questioning, monitoring our food safety and supply is necessary. I had several healthy suspicions about this that have only been proven correct over the intervening years.
This knowing told me I had to act differently if I ever wanted to see a change in the way we produce and relate to the food we eat. I couldn’t change the way the world worked, but I could do something about how I interacted with the world.
I made four small promises to myself:
- I would buy organic when I could, but not beat myself up if it wasn’t in the finances.
- I would learn to grow and store food to become less dependent on the grocery store.
- I would avoid processed foods as much as possible, but accepted that in some instances they would be unavoidable.
- I would give up one food I really loved that I knew was completely unhealthy and loaded with GMO’s – Kraft Macaroni and Cheese – forever. Period. Cold turkey.
Number 4 was really hard! The blue and orange cardboard would lure me in with it’s siren song as I cruised the grocery store aisles. Nope. I made a conscious choice to change my behavior, to change my world. In this one thing, if nothing else, I would starve the GMO beast and refuse to feed it with my dollars.
Now it’s 10 years later and what’s happening on the GMO front? The list of countries that ban GMO’s continues to grow. Monsanto, the GMO and Roundup giant, faces an ever-growing list of lawsuits. More and more people are waking up to the fact that our current model of food production is unsustainable. And they’re alldoing something about it.
Each individual, doing their own part, coming together collectively to influence larger forces.
Because this isn’t about everyone giving up Mac N’ Cheese, that’s not the point at all. In broader terms, what did I do?
I consciously made a choice that supported my highest healing good, and the highest healing good of the planet.
Ascension is about your individual positive changes adding to the collective growth.
Small personal changes can make a difference, for you and for all of us. Those global changes? I helped. I wasn’t the key, I wasn’t the only one, but I was a part of something bigger. It works if you make the change within yourself.
Try it. Really what’s the worst, you pick up a new healthy habit?
Expect that some times you’ll doubt. When you do, just let yourself rest. Then reset your determination and pick it up again when you’re ready. Nurture yourself, keep going and like a seed growing to flower in time you’ll see how far you’ve come.
Remember too, you don’t have to do it all at once. In fact you should be prepared for it to take some time, and that’s okay too. It’s a journey, not transporter ride, into a new reality.
What changes could you make right now? What’s one thing you could do different that moves you toward your goal? I started with Mac N’ Cheese, but have since eliminated many other tasty but not-food convenience items. Pop Tarts. Ouch, that one stung too. Another college-years remnant.
Not overnight, but as I’ve slowly shifted my course, the world has also shifted.
As above, so below.
How do you know what to choose?
The one thing to keep in mind at all times when following that spiritual path…choose Love.
Make choices from Love, for the highest healing good, and you’re well on your way.
