James C. Goodall

Area 51 & The SR-71 with James C. Goodall

James C. Goodall’s true passion has always been airplanes – and the spookery the better. That is probably why he’s working on his 27th book on the subject, The 75th Anniversary of the Lockheed Martin Skunk Works. And he’s been into airplanes and things that go bump, or at least fast, in the night since as far back as he can remember.

He’s been honored to have met some of the worlds top aviation designers, pilots, maintenance guys and support staff working for the likes of Lockheed Martin; Northrop Grumman; Boeing and a few of the old aviation industries that were merged or no longer here.

Mr. Goodall has met with Generals, Admirals and way too many political types to last a couple of life times. And he has been blessed to have in his cast of characters he calls “my friends” the likes of Bob Lazar (Jim knew Bob before he went to work at S-4); John Lear, a dear friend of 45+ years; Mr. Ben R. Rich, the late retired President of the Lockheed Skunk Works. He and Ben spoke at least once every three months for over 25 years; LTC Dave Fruehauf, former SR-71 pilot that chased a UFO in an SR-71 and it left him in the dust – and so on.

He was blessed to have dinner with Buzz Aldrin a few years ago. Jim asked him if he believes in UFOs, and he said nothing, he just looked at Jim and smiled. Jim is a recognized expert on Area 51; Tonopah Test Range (TTR); Stealth Aircraft and Technologies, and was a Docent at Kitt Peak National Observatories outside of Tucson. His last “real job” was that of Curator of the Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor, Hawaii until he retired in the Fall of 2013 and moved to the greater Tucson area.

The event is finished.
