Maya Cowan is an anthropologist currently completing her PhD dissertation on the current era of UAP science at Binghamton University. She is a member of the Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies, and the Society for UAP Studies’ Citizen Science Working Group.
She also works for Investigate the Unknown (Project Nanu) on the data science team. In her spare time, she enjoys playing with her dog Cherry, running, roller skating, and playing music. Maya will be teaching a course for the Society of UAP Studies in June 2024 called “Anthropology and UAP: Questions of Humanity, Culture, and the Unknown,” which runs weekly on Sunday evenings, and is designed for people of all backgrounds to explore the cultural dimensions of the phenomenon.
