Greetings! Seriously? The UFO community has it’s issues, some more troubling than others, but in my humble opinion, one of the most unproductive problems the UFO community suffers from is the way the UFO issue is treated; with a less than serious treatment. Admittedly, this issue might be just a personal extension of how I approach the UFO problem, but I have always been troubled by how much humor is found, by members of the UFO community, with the UFO issue. There is nothing funny at all about UFOs. Individuals are reporting anomalous events. Individuals are experiencing emotional trauma which can affect them in negative ways. Individuals are understandably cautious about giving testimony as a direct result of the ridicule factor. The way the UFO issue is treated has a direct influence on how willing people are to give personal testimony about events they cannot explain. Now to be perfectly clear, none of this has anything to do with UFO investigations. Regardless of whether the reported events remain unidentified after thorough examination, or whether they turn out to be UFO-related events at all, the individuals making the reports should always be treated with respect and professional courtesy. Unfortunately, that does not always occur, and that certainly needs to change! Personally, and professionally, I would never disrespect anyone in any way, shape, or form. Thank you for your time and interest.
