Three Women Accuse Neil deGrasse Tyson Of Sexual Misconduct

Astrophysicist, Neil deGrasse Tyson, is refuting charges brought by three women, that he behaved inappropriately with them. The accusations against him were first reported in detail on the website Patheos.

Fox Broadcasting and National Geographic stated they are investigating the charges against Dr Tyson. The American Museum of Natural History in New York also will be reviewing the allegations against him. Fox and National Geographic produce Dr Tyson’s science show, “Cosmos,” and he is the Director of the Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History.

As for now, Dr Tyson, is still in his positions with “Cosmos” and the Planetarium. He has written a lengthy defense of his behavior on a Facebook post. Explaining his encounters with the women who have accused him, Dr Tyson says, “Accusations can damage a reputation and a marriage. Sometimes irreversibly. I see myself as loving husband and as a public servant — a scientist and educator who serves at the will of the public.”

Dr Tyson stated in an email, that what he posted in his more than 1,600 word message on Facebook, was all he had to say at this point. The investigations and review will commence, while the public and scientific community eagerly await the outcome.
