Pacific Northwest community workers may have found a solution to homelessness. It began in Eugene, Oregon, where Erik de Buhr designed the Conestoga Hut. He is part of the Community Supported Shelters in Eugene. Eric designed the hut after Conestoga Wagons, and people have said the 60 square feet of indoor living space is warm and awesome and amazing. The huts provide temporary shelter for the homeless; they are off the streets, and have a safe place to stay while planning the next step in their lives.
