UFO’Real? A Historical Review

By William Pullin, UFO Historian

Greetings! Photos. In the course of UFO investigations, photographs allegedly containing images of unidentified flying objects are quite common. Of these, very few turn out to be hoaxed, and even fewer remain unexplained after intense scrutiny; the vast majority are found to be bugs on windshields, internal reflections (in the case of the image attached to this blog posting,) misidentified atmospheric phenomena, misidentified aircraft or helicopters viewed from a great distance, or birds and other such terrestrial sources. Of the very few that remain unexplained, how many are artificially constructed extraterrestrial apparatus, or alien spacecraft? Nobody knows, most likely a small percentage, but a percentage none the less, and that is the real point of this writing. Objective and unbiased investigation, by civilian organizations, and independent investigators alike, has not shown that we are being inundated by alien visitors crowding our skies, or landing in great numbers on the surface of the planet we live on. What has been shown is that the vast majority of UFO sightings are mundane, and are therefore, explainable in nature. Of the small percentage that remain unexplained, a small percentage of those may in fact be alien in origin. Non-terrestrial visitation occurring. I am firmly in that camp, alien visitation has taken place, but it is nowhere near as common as how it is portrayed in the (non-research) UFO community. Thank you for the privilege of your time.
