Greetings! Action. During the course of the past few years it has become more and more apparent that the UFO community here in San Antonio has become somewhat dysfunctional, or at the very least, fractured and polarized. Now, what do I mean? Simply that opportunities for the collective pooling of resources and avenues for working together productively are being missed. It is only logical to combine all possible resources, and personnel, in an effort to move the UFO field forward, and that certainly applies to the situation here in San Antonio, yet that rarely, if ever happens. Having said that, as of the last few weeks I have come to a place where I have decided to “take the bull by the horns” and get after the problem. I created a new Facebook group entitled “San Antonio UFO/Paranormal Association” a short time ago, with the expressed purpose of providing a platform for all the local UFO/Paranormal groups and organizations to advertise, promote, and share their content, events, and activities. As of this writing, moderators representing all the local organizations are being actively sought out to maintain equal representation in the group. That was the first step. The second step entails taking a more proactive role in the local UFO community, in an effort to bring everyone together, so that a common goal can be recognized and strived for. To be sure, I don’t have all the answers to what ills the local UFO community, but I do have the time, energy, and commitment to put forward into the effort. Only if all the local groups come together can the situation truly change from being a “spinning the wheels” scenario, into a cohesive and productive research community. If anyone in the greater San Antonio area who happens to be reading this blog posting feels compelled to join the “San Antonio UFO/Paranormal Association” please don’t hesitate to do so! Thank you for your precious time.
