UFO’Real? A Historical Review

Acceptance

Greetings! Acceptance. When examining testimony from UFO witnesses, taking great care and exercising caution are essential aspects to any investigation. Many, many people are reporting anomalous activity, or at the very least, events that they cannot “wrap their heads around.” The vast majority of UFO witnesses are honest, sincere, and intelligent people who are simply wanting answers, or just searching for someone knowledgeable to discuss their events with. UFO witnesses deserve common respect, as we all do, and should be treated in a highly professional manner. Having said that, there have been instances of alleged witnesses who have given testimony which has turned out to be hoaxed, invalid, or falsified. Gerald Anderson, Frank Kaufmann, and Larry Warren come immediately to mind. Repeated investigations have shown that Kaufmann and Warren falsified their testimony, and lied to UFO investigators on both sides of the pond. In the case of Anderson, he has admitted to making false, and misleading statements to the late Stanton Friedman. Should we continue to believe these people? In my professional opinion, NO! In any court of law, when a witness has been shown to be lying to the court, their testimony is thrown out and they may be held in contempt of court. In our personal lives, when someone lies to us, it is wise to not trust them any longer, for to continue to trust such a person is simply foolish and foolhardy. However, in the UFO community, some people continue to believe the testimony of Anderson, Kaufmann, and Warren. In my professional opinion, such choices are extremely unwise and injudicious. Thank you for your time.
